An Extreme Fat Loss and Toned Body Workout

UltimateAthleticFitness Q&A with Callie Durbrow
Hey all, hope you are doing great and your body is burning fat as you read this (courtesy of a red-hot metabolism). Yesterday I was watching a few episodes of the Kardashians marathon…yeah, that show sucks me big time! There was one episode where Kourtney was trying to get back to her pre-baby weight for a magazine cover shoot. She was working out 2 times a day, not eating, not sleeping and ended up passing out while running on the beach. Working out twice a day isn’t awful (it’s not awfully efficient for those of you that actually have jobs) but the moral of the story is you have to fuel your body and if you are not doing this properly, your body will revolt and make you stop.
Anyway, that doesn’t really have anything to do with the post but it’s not often that I can talk about the Kardashians and fitness in the same sentence (sure they work out, but they never show that on the show, it’s just all about drama and uhh, drama)….
So back to reality. I recently got an email question that perked my thoughts up a little bit. I wanted to let you all know that you don’t have to be in a gym of any kind to get an incredible, fat melting workout with just your body weight.

Hey Callie, I loved your recent article about kettle bell training. I have a kettle bell at home and I use it usually 3 times per week. I work a ton and try to get my workouts done at home, before I go to work.
I’m wondering if you have any suggestions for me or other women who are in this situation. I don’t go to the gym because of my schedule but my training is very regular, 4-5 days per week. I also do some interval running on the treadmill and I’ve noticed a huge difference!
Are there any exercises or routines that you recommend for women who want to lose fat and don’t have access to the gym for weights and such?
Thanks,
AP

Body weight training is often a lost art. For many women who are busy with work, family, friends and their social life, the gym may not be an option every single day. It’s great to get in there and mix up your routine with dumbbells, kettle bells, jump rope and things of that nature. With that said though, don’t just skip your workout because you can’t get to the gym. In fact we use tons of body weight workouts in our own boot camps and I think everyone would agree, they are tough!
You can get a killer body weight workout that will get you toned, tight and will have you dripping with sweat in just 20 minutes.
I want to warn you though, these aren’t easy workouts so be ready to work hard (your body will thank you later!). As you’ll see in the video, I’m huffing and puffing as I explain the workout to you. I think this workout took me like 15 minutes….
Here’s another bonus video for you, a killer leg-blasting circuit that’s guaranteed to get your butt and thighs looking toned and tight…
